Halloween Decorations Made with Recycled Materials

Halloween is a great time for having fun and enjoying making not only costumes but also decorations for your house. While this holiday is meant for everybody, it is the women who are usually more passionate about it, which is why this year, the Halloween costume ideas for women 2015 are more popular than the men’s costume ideas. It is also the women who are passionate about decorations and crafts. As such, this year, let your imagination work and create amazing decorations from recycled materials. This way, you will have a lot of fun, you will test your artistic skills and you will protect the environment by reusing items instead of throwing them away. Here are some great and unique ideas of Halloween decorations made with recycled materials.

    • The plastic soda bottles that you always throw away can become scary and funny monsters that will hold the candies. You will need some bottles, a knife to cut the top, and some paints, then you can start drawing faces resembling monsters, superheroes, ghosts and anything you can come up with. Place the candies inside and you will have the most amazing candy bowls ever!
    • Tin cans can be turned into creepy lanterns for Halloween in a simple and easy to make way. You just paint the cans in orange to resemble the Halloween pumpkins, or any other color you want, then you paint angry faces on them. A candle inside the cans and some holes at the bottom to let the light out and your lanterns are ready to decorate your house.
    • Instead of wasting real pumpkins by carving them only for your amusement, you can make paper pumpkins that look like reals ones and are easier to make. Cut some orange paper strips and join them together to form the shape of a pumpkin, then use some green paper for the top leaves. Draw some eyes and a mouth on them and hang your paper pumpkins around the house and the garden.
    • Paper rolls are something everyone throws away when they can be used to create many Halloween crafts. You can make Frankenstein monsters, zombies, witches, bats, ghosts, pumpkins, black cats, and any other creature that symbolizes Halloween. All you need are various paints that will help you draw the faces and the particularities of the characters, and some small paper details like the wings of the bat or the hat of the witch.
    • You would have never thought that egg cartons can become a Halloween decoration, but now you can see that you can make funny little bats out of them. Simply paint the egg carton in black and cut three egg compartments, then shape the left and the right one as little wings and put eyes on the center one. Hang the small bats from the chandelier in your house and match the bats with some maple leaves painted in white to look like tiny ghosts.
